About The Position

The Banking Intern will gain practical experience and insights into the financial services sector. The Banking Intern will be immersed in different business areas, learning from banking experts and taking on real business challenges.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a degree in Business, Finanance or related field
• Hard working, team player with a professional work ethic
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• A positive attitude and a growth mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Maintain confidentiality

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience is not necessary, but may be advantageous
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired

Responsibilities

• Banking Intern will be trained in several key operations departments and offered diverse assignments that will challenge and develop skillsets
• Gathering information on the Bank and participating in on-the-job training
• Participating in meetings and team building events
• Review and analyze basic business, operational, or technical existing systems and offering new ideas for improvement
• Maintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy, and, if supervisor, ensures adherence by the respective department personnel
• Maintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations, and, if supervisor, ensures adherence by the respective department personnel
• Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML, and, if supervisor, ensures adherence by the respective department personnel
