Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of three (3) years of banking, financial services, sales, or related experience normally required.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
  • Moderate typing and computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to conduct consumer lending activities, including taking applications, interviewing applicants, gathering supporting documentation, and managing customer relationships.
  • Ability to open and service personal and business deposit accounts.
  • Working knowledge of retail banking products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong sales, business development, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance results and implement strategies to achieve Banking Center goals

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Knowledge of consumer lending products and processes; current NMLS registration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Banking Center to provide efficient, accurate, and customer-focused service.
  • Coordinates Banking Center activities with centralized operations personnel and other Bank departments.
  • Participates with management in establishing Banking Center goals and implementing strategies designed to achieve those goals.
  • Reviews market conditions, customer needs, sales trends, and competitive factors to identify opportunities for Banking Center growth.
  • Reports pertinent information and Banking Center performance results to management as requested.
  • Maintains responsibility for Banking Center deposit growth, consumer loan growth, and overall sales performance.
  • Drives deposit, loan, and fee income growth through proactive sales and business development efforts.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with consumers, businesses, and community organizations to generate new business opportunities.
  • Participates in community events, networking activities, and business development initiatives to promote the Bank and increase customer relationships.
  • Identifies opportunities to deepen customer relationships through referrals, cross-sales, and needs-based conversations.
  • Performs all duties of a Universal Banker, including customer service, sales activities, onboarding, referrals, and relationship development.
  • Opens and services personal and business deposit accounts and maintains knowledge of the Bank's account opening procedures, products, and services.
  • Conducts consumer lending activities, including interviewing applicants, taking applications, collecting supporting documentation, originating loans, and managing customer relationships throughout the lending process.
  • Maintains knowledge of consumer lending products, services, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and resolves issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Directly supervises assigned personnel.
  • Assists in the selection, onboarding, orientation, training, and development of employees.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and regular coaching sessions to support employee development and achievement of Banking Center goals.
  • Organizes, schedules, and distributes work among assigned personnel.
  • Keeps employees informed of policies, procedures, goals, and expectations affecting the Banking Center and their positions.
  • Creates an environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and open communication.
  • Administers personnel policies and procedures as established by Bank policy.
  • Ensures all transactions, balancing activities, and operational functions are completed efficiently, accurately, and according to Bank policy.
  • Processes wire transactions in accordance with Bank policy.
  • Ensures staff have an adequate supply of cash to conduct business and maintains approved cash levels.
  • Maintains and balances vault cash, currency, and coin.
  • Processes and validates incoming and outgoing cash shipments.
  • Ensures vault cash is balanced daily and assists staff as needed.
  • Maintains vault cash records and related documentation.
  • Minimizes risk of losses, including cash differences, operational errors, and other controllable losses.
  • Maintains responsibility for Banking Center operational performance, audit results, and compliance standards.
  • Identifies operational deficiencies and implements corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Promotes adherence to Bank policies, procedures, and risk management practices designed to ensure safety and soundness.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, including but not limited to CIP, BSA, CRA, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act requirements.
  • Coordinates departmental tasks to ensure efficient processes and proper segregation of duties.
  • Assists management with administrative duties, special projects, and other assignments as directed.
  • Represents the Bank in a professional manner and serves as a role model for customer service, sales performance, leadership, and accountability.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual or departmental circumstances.
