Bank Teller - San Luis Rey - Oceanside, CA (SLR)
About The Position
TEKsystems is seeking a Bank Teller for a financial institution in Oceanside, California. The role provides members and prospective members with information and services across depository accounts, lending products, and credit and debit cards. Under supervision, the teller performs moderately complex platform banking functions and assists with training lower-level team members. This is a contract position based in Oceanside and performed fully onsite. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The pay range is $23.28 per hour. Requirements
- 1–3 years of relevant cash-handling experience; banking experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Good communication skills, including de-escalation, remaining calm under pressure, and listening.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, research, and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts and loans.
- Assist members with submitting consumer, mortgage, and equity loan applications, overdraft protection applications, and credit card applications.
- Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services.
- Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly.
- Identify opportunities to cross-service products and increase product penetration.
- Perform platform banking functions.
- Assist Level I team members.
- Understand and comply with federal and other regulations relating to financial products and services.
- May assist with Branch Office vault opening, closing, and balancing procedures.
- May serve as a Branch Office and/or ATM vault custodian.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
