About The Position

The Bank Loan Analyst I will support the Bank Loan Oversight and Administration Team at a global investment organization. The role provides support to portfolio management and investment teams through reporting, trade support, and settlement activities. The analyst will help ensure accurate and timely handling of trading activity, coordinate settlement efforts, maintain data quality, and conduct data mining and analysis for Bank Loan clients. The position is hybrid in Downers Grove, Illinois, with four days onsite in the office. The contract is for 12 months, with a possible extension.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
• Ability to conduct analysis and present data meaningfully.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, and Word.
• Ability to work independently and follow through on projects.
• Self-motivation and ability to multitask and complete assigned tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and effective interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Business degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
• Two or more years of work experience preferred.
• Familiarity or experience with bonds and bond settlements.
• Solid understanding of the security/loan market (LMA) and fund operations.
• Experience in a reporting or product oversight role.
• Experience in investment management.
• Working knowledge of S&P Wall Street Office and/or Allvue-Everest.
• Team-oriented approach; open-mindedness, flexibility, and willingness to listen to others’ opinions.

Responsibilities

• Produce scheduled reporting deliverables for internal clients, including the investment team, reporting team members, and legal and compliance.
• Work with the team to provide service to internal and external clients and service providers.
• Support the trader by ensuring trading activity is entered accurately and in a timely manner for ISSM products.
• Work with the trade closing team to coordinate and facilitate settlement efforts.
• Liaise with traders, trade counterparties, and agent banks.
• Help maintain the data quality and integrity of critical business information.
• Conduct data mining from internal and external sources and analyze data for Bank Loan clients.
