The Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated Bank Agile Product Owner to champion member value, with a specific focus on optimizing the join and eligibility experiences within the banking sector. This role requires a strategic individual who can integrate member value initiatives into the bank's planning and backlog, ensuring the bank's risk, opportunities, and perspectives are accounted for in product roadmaps. You will also be responsible for the governance and risk assessment processes related to these member experiences. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. What you'll do: Accountable for communicating and driving the vision and strategy effectively to key stakeholders and Bank agile team members. Ensure delivery of quality products and member experience solutions through collaboration with stakeholders to determine business needs. Responsible for working closely with the Team-of-Teams Lead to assist in clarifying and driving alignment on the business strategy, goals, and objectives. Translate this understanding into a clear vision for the bank agile team to inform the creation and prioritization of the bank agile team’s backlog of work. Partner with Team-of-Teams Lead to define and clearly communicate acceptance criteria for output based on business requirements and customer needs. Anticipate and solve complex issues using a data-driven approach to decision making including allocating funds and developing and tracking Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that drive bank product success. Deliver against bank agile team level OKRs. Act as “voice of the end-user”. Proactively seek customer feedback to learn and better understand their needs and requirements to ensure end user value is delivered to the marketplace. Own bank agile team backlog (grooming, prioritization, and refinement). Responsible for maintaining a groomed backlog of user stories; works with the bank agile team to estimate story size and complexity. Optimize the flow of value through the multi-bank agile team agile environment and progress towards objectives, goals, and commitments, while removing impediments, resolving conflicts, and managing risks and issues. Begin to take a strategic view and think proactively about the right way to meet objectives. Act in service of the bank agile team's needs and goals; offer feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements, anticipate and remove roadblocks or impediments that may prevent the bank agile team from progressing on objectives and answers questions. Look for opportunities for continuous bank agile team and process improvement. Make recommendations to leadership. May lead functional bank agile teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree: OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis or directly related to supported business operations/product line.
  • Knowledge of multiple technical software delivery methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall, SAFe).
  • Advanced experience analyzing business requirements, process flows and use cases to identify opportunities to streamline business processes in accordance with risk management framework and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of Process Engineering methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of applicable banking, regulatory, compliance policies including applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view.

  • Adobe Ecosystem Proficiency: Demonstrated experience and familiarity with the Adobe Ecosystem (e.g., Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe AEM). This includes understanding how various Adobe products can be leveraged to enhance customer experience and achieve business objectives.
  • Cross-functional and Large-Scale Initiative Experience: Experience in managing and contributing to cross-functional and large-scale initiatives. This includes working on projects with complex dependencies, rather than isolated tasks.
  • End-to-End Customer Journey Understanding: Demonstrated ability to understand customer journeys from beginning to end, including measuring and quantifying outcomes.
  • Data-Driven Hypothesis Generation: Proven experience in developing informed, data-driven hypotheses to guide strategies and solutions.
