About The Position

The banding line operator oversees the accurate packaging of all coils processed by the slitters on the banding line. This role requires adherence to all safety protocols, following attendance policies, and abiding by the packaging schedule. The operator will efficiently operate automatic banders, provide guidance to support personnel, and train line helpers in equipment operation for their designated tasks on the automated banding line. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or GED required.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job including the ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet on a concrete floor for the entire shift.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others and work well in a team environment.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and operating machinery.
• Capacity to endure repetitive tasks and maintain focus for extended periods.
• Ability to hear warning signals and communicate effectively in a noisy environment.
• Clear vision is necessary to inspect materials and read text, gauges and instruments accurately.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during operations.
• Capable of making quick decisions to optimize processes and minimize downtime.
• Effective communication is essential for coordinating with team members and reporting any issues promptly.
• Maintain orderly work areas and adhere to production schedules.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to obtain a hi-lo license.
