About The Position

Charter Steel is hiring for DAY SHIFT Banding Operators with a starting pay of $24.25/hr and a $2,000 sign-on bonus. This role is crucial in maintaining the company's tradition of American-made strength and growth. The position involves entering and monitoring order data, identifying coils, operating machinery, and adhering to safety and quality procedures. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Quick learners who enjoy working with their hands.
• Strong teamwork skills and excellent attendance.
• Ability to follow safety instructions and maintain high standards.
• Background in manufacturing or industrial production, machining, set-up, metals industry.
• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling.
• Push/pull, and lifting up to 20lbs.
• Reaching over 15" away from your body.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Enter and monitor order data into the computer.
• Accurately identify coils by printing and applying tags throughout the process.
• Operate coil compactor and other coil handling equipment.
• Operate hydraulic and pneumatic hand tools.
• Operate a forklift.
• Follow all safety & quality procedures.
