About The Position

Aluminum Precision Products (APP) is seeking a Band Saw Operator to join their team. This role involves inspecting, setting up, measuring, and removing excess flash from processed forged metal parts. • English (reading, writing, and verbal comprehension).
• Must be able to work overtime when required to meet operational deadlines.
• This position may require access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities

• Work safe and maintain an organized, lean work environment.
• Inspect machinery to ensure it is in working order, making adjustments/replacements as necessary.
• Perform preventive maintenance as specified.
• Position parts on saw bed, offload and stack material in accordance with established procedures.
• Inspect forged parts visually and by touch for excessive metal.
• Maintain accurate part and/or work piece counts.
• Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job-specific travelers.
• Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
