About The Position
Engineered Steel Products (ESP), a North Page Capital Company, is a North Carolina based steel fabrication company providing structural and miscellaneous steel for the construction industry. Engineered Steel’s vision is to provide world-class customer service and steel to customers. We are hiring a Band Saw Operator in our processing area on a full-time basis to work onsite in Sophia, NC.
Requirements
- Knowledge of structural steel shapes and sizes
- Comfortable working with machinery
- Can read a tape measure (accurately to the 1/16 of an inch)
- Experience operating an overhead crane
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong focus on safety and quality work
Responsibilities
- Operate Band Saw, Drill Line, Angle Line, and Plasma Table
- Cut and process steel to job specs and drawings
- Measure and verify parts for accuracy
- Set up machines correctly and run jobs efficiently
- Perform daily equipment maintenance (greasing/oiling)
- Keep your work area clean and organized
- Work closely with the Shop Foreman and Plant Manager
