About The Position

Heid Music is a music retailer dedicated to fostering happy, developing musicians of all ages. As a Band and Orchestra Sales Specialist, you’ll build meaningful relationships within the musical community—helping students, educators, and musicians find the right instruments and accessories to support their musical journey. This role combines music knowledge, customer service, and sales, with opportunities to engage in community events and school partnerships.

Requirements

• Band or orchestra instrument knowledge (playing, teaching, or hands-on experience)
• Passion for music and helping others succeed
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others succeed musically

Nice To Haves

• Customer service, retail, or sales experience is helpful but not required
• A degree is welcome but not necessary if you bring strong musical knowledge

Responsibilities

• Help students and musicians choose instruments they’ll grow with
• Share product knowledge through demonstrations and conversations
• Build trusted relationships with teachers, families, and performers
• Contribute to store sales goals through thoughtful, service-driven selling
• Participate in school and community music events
• Represent Heid Music with professionalism and a customer-focused approach
