About The Position

This role involves separating various recyclable materials such as scrap metal, wood, cardboard, plastics, and styrofoam. The position requires the operation of a recycling baler and associated equipment to bale plastic and cardboard, and to dispose of non-recyclable materials appropriately. The job also includes performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger motion, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, climb stairs and talk or hear.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
