About The Position

Kampack, GA is a leading manufacturer of corrugated paper sheets and products. We are committed to delivering high-quality packaging solutions while fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. We are seeking an experienced Baler Operator to join our team in McDonough, GA. Responsible for hogging waste, loading waste into trucks, and operating the baler. Works under the direct supervision of the Converting Supervisor and indirect supervision of the Assistant Converting Supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to deal with other employees and management in a courteous, tactful and patient manner.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
Good understanding of machinery and good mechanical ability/aptitude.
Ability to interpret quality standards.
Ability to safely operate lift truck.
Ability to read and understand scheduling sheets.
Ability to read and understand a tape measure.

Responsibilities

Safely operates fork lift.
Responsible for hogging waste.
Operates Baler.
Feeds cull sheets into hogger.
Assures bales are properly tied off.
Performs safety and maintenance inspections of forklift before and after use.
Safely operates forklift.
Stacks bales neatly in a row, if applicable
Loads waste trucks to maximize capacity
Responsible for keeping machine and work area clean.
Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Assists other employees as necessary.
Comply with the safety guidelines and safety rules provided by the company as well as exercise common sense and good judgment in performance of duties.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
