About The Position

The Baler Operator is responsible for baling products for recycling that meet the quality and safety standards for both the company and its customers.

Requirements

Knowledge of Safety/OSHA regulations.
Ability to safely use power tools as required to maintain facility and equipment.
Ensures proper use of Personal Protective Equipment when required.
Ability to use physical exertion such as prolonged periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, reaching and climbing; ability to lift up to 25lbs. consistently.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow established policies and procedures on the baling process, including use of Personal Protective Equipment.
Ensure that the workstation contains the correct components and safety procedures have been followed prior to assembly.
Maintain open communication with supervisors, team leaders and material handlers regarding production status (i.e., down time, material shortage, etc.).
Maintain daily production sheets utilizing the correct task codes for production time, downtime, floor time, etc.; ensure that daily production totals are accurate.
Assists as Box Truck Helper as necessary.
Maintain a good attendance record.
Maintain work area, including sweeping, emptying garbage, etc.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
Attend safety trainings and follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and supervised work environment for all employees at all times.
Promote positive teamwork among co-workers.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
