About The Position

Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious individual to join our Central Processing team. This part-time position combines baler operations with lawn care and general maintenance of equipment. The work schedule includes two 8-hour shifts for baler duties and one 8-hour shift for lawn care duties. Specific workdays and hours will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Commitment to following established safety procedures
• Ability to learn and safely operate baling and lawn-care equipment
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse, baler, landscaping experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Sort, prepare, bale, and move recyclable or salvage materials
• Safely operate baling and material-handling equipment
• Secure, label, and stage completed bales for storage or shipment
• Keep the baler and surrounding work areas clean and organized
• Follow all equipment and workplace safety procedures
• Report equipment issues and unsafe conditions promptly
• Mow grass, trim hedges, remove weeds, and maintain landscaped areas
• Remove leaves, branches, litter, and other outdoor debris
• Perform seasonal groundskeeping duties as assigned
• Assist with general cleaning and upkeep
• Maintain lawn-care equipment and report needed repairs
• Help keep the facility and surrounding property safe and presentable
