About The Position

Responsible for processing of trash and recycling according to local standards and covering intermittent duties in support of Operations throughout the day. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply
Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with colleagues
Must be able to: Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Sense of urgency and the ability to work independently
Attention to detail and effective organization skills
Works harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs

Responsibilities

Inspect, sort and bale all waste cardboard and plastic
Maintain balers and compactor clear of trash that can build up and create a malfunction
Maintain the dock area (area surrounding baler)
General Housekeeping duties
Basic maintenance and changing of the MHE Batteries
Daily operation and general maintenance/cleaning of the Sweeper
Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality
