About The Position

This part-time Bakery Team Member position is at the Rohrerstown Road Fresh Foods location and requires evening and flexible weekend availability, with hours listed as 4 p.m.–9 p.m. The wage is $14.00 per hour. The role supports bakery production and department operations, including preparing and packaging goods, maintaining a clean and organized department, assisting customers, and promoting merchandise. The company provides on-the-job training and leadership classes and promotes team members from within.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be available for evening work and flexible weekends.
Employees are regularly exposed to hot temperatures while working around kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

Produce bakery goods when bakers, department assistants, and/or management are absent.
Clean the department, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases, and keep products and supplies organized.
Operate equipment when needed, if at least 18 years old.
Operate the price scale and use current prices; price merchandise or change price tags using the price list and coordinating with the scan department.
Package merchandise according to departmental guidelines.
Prepare and promote department samples.
Receive, open, and unpack merchandise cartons and crates; check invoices against received items and promptly clear restocking equipment and debris from the floor.
Rotate products according to departmental guidelines.
Set up and sign merchandise displays to attract customers and promote sales.
Take and process customer orders according to customer requests, ensuring products are ready on time.
Take inventory or regularly examine merchandise to identify items that need reordering or replenishment.
