About The Position

The Bakery Team Member supports daily operations in Plum Market’s Bakery department and helps deliver an exceptional Customer experience. The role focuses on stocking, merchandising, packaging, and presenting baked goods, as well as receiving products, rotating stock, setting up displays, and maintaining cleanliness and quality standards. The Team Member works collaboratively to create a welcoming, well-stocked bakery environment.

The position is suited to someone who cares about fresh, high-quality baked goods and product presentation, provides excellent Customer Service, and is reliable, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The role requires a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, along with the ability to meet the stated lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking requirements.

Requirements

• Enthusiasm for the Bakery environment and Customer Service.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong verbal communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, push or pull carts up to 100 lbs., and stand or walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
• Reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

• Experience with food handling or merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable Customer Service in the Bakery department.
• Stock and merchandise bakery displays to maintain a full, fresh, and visually appealing assortment.
• Package and label baked goods accurately according to Plum Market standards.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, organizing backstock, and rotating products to maintain freshness.
• Maintain clean, organized, and food-safe workspaces throughout the shift.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and labeling procedures in compliance with company and health department guidelines.
• Assist in building seasonal displays and promotional setups.
• Collaborate with Team Members and leadership to meet daily department goals.
• Uphold Plum Market policies and standard operating procedures.
