Bakery Store Clerk - Collegedale (PART-TIME)
About The Position
McKee Foods is seeking a part-time Bakery Store Clerk to join our Collegedale Bakery Store team. This role involves opening and closing the store, managing daily sales records, handling cash and bank deposits, and maintaining adequate change for the register. The clerk will also be responsible for taking inventory, examining merchandise for reordering, stocking storage areas and displays, setting up advertising signs, and arranging merchandise to attract customers and promote sales. Additionally, the position includes cleaning display cases, shelves, aisles, windows, and restrooms, and performing other housekeeping duties.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to and support of McKee Foods values, ethics, goals, and objectives
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least three months related experience and/or training
- Possess a good overall work and safety record
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication skills

- Previous retail experience
- Knowledgeable with POS cash register systems
Responsibilities
- Opens and closes the store
- Records accurate records for daily sales
- Counts cash and makes a bank deposit
- Maintains adequate change on hand for the store register
- Takes inventory and examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished
- Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise
- Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales
- Cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles
- Performs other housekeeping duties, including windows and restrooms
