About The Position

Bakery Production Manager Location: Newport, RI Position Type: Full-Time About Co-Dough Co-Dough is a growing sourdough bakery focused on exceptional quality, consistency, and customer experience. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Bakery Production Manager to help lead production, maintain standards, develop team members, and ensure smooth day-to-day execution. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and is passionate about producing exceptional baked goods. Position Overview The Bakery Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production, maintaining quality standards, managing workflow, training team members, and ensuring products are executed consistently every day. This role plays a critical part in protecting the quality, consistency, and reputation of the Co-Dough brand.

Requirements

  • Previous bakery, kitchen, or food production leadership experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily bakery production from start to finish
  • Ensure products are produced on time and according to company standards
  • Monitor dough development, proofing, baking, frying, filling, finishing, and packaging
  • Maintain consistency across all products
  • Ensure production goals are met efficiently each day
  • Inspect products throughout production to ensure quality standards are met
  • Identify and correct issues before products reach customers
  • Minimize waste through attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
  • Maintain high standards for appearance, texture, flavor, and consistency
  • Train, coach, and support production team members
  • Help onboard new employees and ensure proper execution of procedures
  • Set clear expectations and maintain accountability within the production team
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
  • Help improve workflows and production efficiency
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment
  • Communicate inventory needs and assist with production planning
