About The Position
Summerhill Market is a Toronto boutique grocer known for scratch-made prepared foods, freshly baked treats, and on-trend ingredients. They are looking for dependable, hard-working individuals who enjoy being part of a fast-paced production environment to join their Production Bakery Team. The Evening Prep Team Member positions begin at $17.60/hour, with pay negotiable based on experience.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and stay organized
- Strong attention to detail and product consistency
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Availability to work evening shifts and weekends as required
Nice To Haves
- Previous bakery, food production, kitchen, or food service experience is an asset
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
Responsibilities
- Support our Bread Team with daily production needs
- Sheet, cut, and portion puff pastry products
- Assist with bun production and preparation
- Prepare crepes, pancakes, and other bakery items
- Support ice cream production and portioning
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing products for distribution
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the production bakery
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with Bakery and Production team members to meet daily production goals
