About The Position

Summerhill Market is a Toronto boutique grocer known for scratch-made prepared foods, freshly baked treats, and on-trend ingredients. Their Production Bakery in Rosedale supplies fresh baked goods to all Summerhill Market locations across the city. They are looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in quality and enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment. This role is for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to be part of a team that helps deliver fresh bakery products to thousands of customers each day.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Able to lift up to 50 lbs as required
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic
Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in food production, bakery, packaging, or manufacturing is an asset but not required

Responsibilities

Package a variety of fresh bakery products including breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, muffins, and other baked goods
Label, seal, and prepare products for delivery to Summerhill Market stores
Ensure products meet company standards for quality, freshness, presentation, and accuracy
Inspect products for quality before packaging and report any concerns to the production team
Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations throughout your shift
Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance procedures at all times
Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines
Assist with stocking packaging materials and supporting other bakery production tasks as needed
