About The Position
This role involves overseeing all bakery operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, managing administrative tasks like scheduling and ordering, and engaging in marketing efforts to increase community participation. The manager will also focus on labor cost control, assist in departments as needed, and maintain a positive work environment. This position is with Asman Cakes 7, LLC, which operates 6 bakeries in the Indianapolis area.
Requirements
- Positive & outgoing demeanor
- Ability to delegate tasks
- Ability to effectively deal with any staff conflicts or interpersonal issues
- Basic math, typing, writing and reading skills
- Very flexible schedule (opening, closing and weekend shift availability. Holiday availability)
- Dependable transportation
- Ability to lift, bend, and carry 50lbs for short periods of time (putting away shipments, organizing cake)
Responsibilities
- Overseeing all operations from each department and ensuring brand and company policies are being followed closely
- Administrative tasks such as scheduling, email account management, shipment ordering and documentation practices
- Marketing both within the four walls of the bakery and outside in the local community in order to increase event and fundraiser participation
- Controlling labor to prevent overspending
- Stepping into departments to keep sharp with efficiencies and assist whenever needed
- Participating in local events
- Maintaining a positive work environment at all times
