About The Position

The Bakery Manager-In-Training is a dynamic role designed to cultivate future bakery leaders. This position focuses on developing a comprehensive understanding of bakery operations, encompassing retail operations, inventory control, and team leadership. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in customer service, retail sales, and a commitment to ethical standards and conduct. This role will provide hands-on experience in all aspects of bakery management, including merchandising, loss prevention, and problem-solving, while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability. This position requires candidates to be able to travel to other stores for training. This is a Full Time, Hourly position offering an excellent benefits package. Must will open to any shifts including holidays and weekends.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of retail operations and retail sales.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to honesty and ethical standards.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.
  • Assist in the training and coaching of bakery staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of products, demonstrating a detail-oriented approach.
  • Implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales and enhance the customer experience.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues and building relationships.
  • Participate in loss prevention efforts, safeguarding company assets and minimizing shrinkage.
  • Assist in planning and task management, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities by motivating and guiding team members.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding operational updates and performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
