About The Position

Franz Family Bakery, now combined with Dunford in Utah, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join their Engineering team. This role involves performing required repairs and maintenance tasks on a variety of bakery production equipment, freezers, and facilities in an orderly, timely, and cost-conscious manner. The position is crucial for maintaining equipment productivity and minimizing downtime, with some tasks requiring completion within rigid timeframes to maximize bakery product output. The ideal candidate will work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations, while maintaining accurate records and responding to maintenance calls with urgency.

Requirements

At least 2+ years of production manufacturing maintenance experience required.
Previous experience in similar maintenance of production line equipment and facilities is a must.
Ability to quickly learn new job tasks and flexibility to work in different jobs as needed.
Adherence to company core values.

Nice To Haves

Electrical knowledge preferred.
Electrical and controls knowledge could increase the pay, DOE.
LME license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of all bakery equipment, including mechanical and electrical components.
Maintain equipment productivity to minimize downtime or malfunctions.
Perform tasks within rigid time frames to maximize bakery product productivity.
Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and follow company GMPs.
Work in a safe and efficient manner, complying with federal and state requirements.
Maintain accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls, and preventative maintenance reports.
Prepare specific and accurate parts request forms.
Respond to maintenance and line stoppage calls with urgency and ownership.
Provide emergency repairs quickly and efficiently.
Perform duties in all areas within the maintenance department.
Provide technical assistance and information to the Engineering management team.
Display initiative in recognizing work to be accomplished and make recommendations to the Chief Engineer.
Perform additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
