About The Position

Franz Family Bakery, founded in 1906 in the Pacific Northwest, is a successful bakery employing over 4,000 people and distributing products across several western states. They are seeking Bakery Maintenance Engineers to join their fast-paced team. This role involves performing repairs and maintenance on bakery production equipment, freezers, and facilities to ensure productivity and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

Perform required repairs and maintenance tasks on bakery production equipment, freezers, and/or facilities.
Conduct preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of all bakery equipment, including mechanical and electrical components.
Maintain equipment productivity to minimize downtime or malfunctions, performing tasks within rigid time frames to maximize product output.
Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and follow company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Work in a safe and efficient manner, complying with federal and state requirements.
Maintain accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls, and preventative maintenance reports.
Prepare specific and accurate parts request forms.
Respond to maintenance and line stoppage calls with urgency and ownership.
Provide emergency repairs quickly and efficiently.
Perform duties in all areas within the maintenance department.
Provide technical assistance and information to the Engineering management team.
Recognize work to be accomplished and make recommendations to the Chief Engineer.
Perform additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
