About The Position

Franz Family Bakery, founded in 1906, is a successful bakery employing over 4,000 people and distributing products across several western states. They are seeking Bakery Maintenance Engineers with LME or Electrical Licenses to join their fast-paced team. These engineers will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on various bakery production equipment, freezers, and facilities in an orderly, timely, and cost-conscious manner.

Requirements

LME License, Plant Journeyman or Journeyman Electrical License required.
Must be available for all shifts, all days of the week, as the bakery operates 24/7/363 days per year.
Ability to quickly learn new job tasks.
Flexibility to work in different jobs as needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in similar maintenance of production line equipment and facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of all bakery equipment, including mechanical and electrical components.
Maintain equipment productivity to minimize downtime or malfunctions.
Perform tasks within rigid time frames to maximize bakery product productivity.
Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and follow company GMPs.
Work in a safe and efficient manner, complying with federal and state requirements.
Maintain accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls, and preventative maintenance reports.
Prepare specific and accurate parts request forms.
Respond to maintenance and line stoppage calls with urgency and ownership.
Provide emergency repairs quickly and efficiently.
Perform duties in all areas within the maintenance department.
Provide technical assistance and information to the Engineering management team.
Recognize work to be accomplished and make recommendations to the Chief Engineer.
Perform additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
