About The Position

This position is responsible for efficiently setting up and operating all product forming, proofing, baking, and cooling equipment on the production lines. The role requires maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This role is specifically for current team members at the facility or complex.

Requirements

  • At least 3 months of experience working in the Bakery department.
  • No more than 4 occurrence points.
  • No more than two (2) written warnings in the last 12 months.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Must be able to use a calculator.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Must be willing and able to promote a team environment.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally with other team members.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Willing and able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and follow all safety procedures related to equipment setup and operation, including lock-out/tag-out.
  • Assemble and dismantle all equipment required to run a given product.
  • Maintain and submit proper paperwork including downtime sheets, weight sheets, raw material usage sheets, product loss forms, and updated specification sheets.
  • Take responsibility for the flow of products through the production line from the divider-sheeter through the proofer, oven, and cooling spiral to the packing line.
  • Monitor and ensure product quality, making necessary adjustments to maintain product specifications.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and inform supervision and maintenance of any equipment needing repair.
  • Learn applicable G.M.P. and sanitation procedures.
  • Perform necessary wash down procedures.
  • Maintain and assist in minimizing losses of raw materials and other materials.
  • Inspect equipment for cleanliness and mechanical deficiencies before setup.
  • Complete all QA checks and documentation accurately.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all Q.A. and HACCP paperwork.
  • Enter data into and operate CAT2 system.
  • Be familiar with company policies, procedures, TQC parameters, HACCP and GMPs.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policy and established procedures.
  • Learn the operation of various off-line equipment.
  • Promote a team environment.
  • Communicate verbally with other team members.
