This position is responsible for managing the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager. The Bakery Lead will supervise the performance of Deli Bakery HMS Associates, manage daily labor, and coach associates to achieve productivity expectations. This role involves providing leadership and motivation to foster a culture reflective of the Brand Strategy and Culture, and supporting the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results. The Bakery Lead is expected to role model outstanding customer service, control store expenses through proper ordering and care of supplies/equipment, and ensure department appearance, quality, variety, workplace safety, food safety, and sanitation are consistently maintained. They will also be responsible for creating schedules, ensuring proper merchandise handling, observing and correcting unsafe conditions, and monitoring shrink.
