Requirements

Grade 12 or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of relevant bakery experience.
Comfortable leading, training, and supporting others in a busy retail environment.
Understand the importance of food safety, sanitation, and following proper procedures.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bakery and deli departments, with a focus on product quality, food safety, and customer service.
Provide guidance and support to Bakery/Deli Team Members, including training on proper procedures, new items, and available FCL programs.
Help coordinate schedules, team assignments, and daily priorities so the department runs efficiently.
Order, receive, inspect, store, prepare, package, display, and price bakery and deli products according to Co-op standards.
Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, health and safety, and quality standards.
Support inventory control, stock rotation, waste reduction, and consistent product availability.
Assist customers with product questions, special orders, complaints, adjustments, and returns in a prompt and friendly manner.
Work with the Bakery/Deli Manager to support pricing, promotions, merchandising, sales, margins, expenses, and department goals.
