About The Position

This role leads the Bakery/Deli team, managing the department in accordance with company policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards, and overall expectations. The manager is responsible for recruiting, training, developing, coaching, and motivating the team, ensuring product freshness and quality, performing performance reviews, managing inventory, developing sales promotion programs, maintaining confidentiality, and developing action plans to achieve business goals. This role provides leadership and direction in the development and achievement of operational and financial results.

Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years retail experience.
2-3 years experience managing/supervising others.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.
Effective interpersonal, leadership and communications skills.
Honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail management, deli or bakery experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Lead the Bakery/Deli team in a manner that demonstrates day-to-day behaviors that align with and strengthen the Co-operatives vision, mission, values, and brand.
Manage the Bakery/deli Department in accordance with the company policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards and overall expectations.
Recruit, train, develop, coach and motivate the bakery/deli team.
Ensures that all products are fresh and meet company quality standards.
Perform team performance reviews and action plans for development.
Manage inventory levels and lead scheduled inventory procedures.
Develop sales promotion programs to grow the bakery/deli business.
Maintain confidentiality regarding pricing, financial and marketing strategies.
Develop and administer action plans to achieve the desired results of the business plan.
Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of operational and financial results.
Other duties as assigned.
