About The Position
This is a full-time position in the Bake-Off/Deli department at the Assiniboia Food Store. The role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and displaying bakery and deli products, maintaining cleanliness, operating various equipment, and assisting with various store duties.
Requirements
- Able to work a variety of shifts.
- A pleasant and out-going personality.
- A desire and ability to work with the public.
- Physically able to do heavy lifting.
- Successfully pass pre-employment testing as per Southland’s Alcohol & Substance Policy.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to the Customer Care standards.
- Bake, decorate, display, package and label all bakery & deli products.
- Clean and Sanitize bakery and deli equipment, display units and prep areas.
- Operate the bread slicer, deli slicer, scale/printer, chicken BBQ, gas oven, proofer and donut robot equipment.
- Take phone orders and process them accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in daily housekeeping duties.
- Be alert to the unauthorized removal of merchandise and alert the supervisor of any occurrence.
- Assist with the unloading and receiving of freight as assigned.
- Assist with inventory counts as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
