Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic kitchen skills
Familiar with food preparation in a bakery department
Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

Mix and measure ingredients into dough in preparation for baking.
Monitor shrink within the department.
Ensure all orders are completed in accordance with the production schedule.
Ensure machinery is in good operating order.
Provide quality customer service.
Practice safe food handling procedures.
Assist with inventory, stocking, and product rotation.
Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes.
Roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and related bakery products.
Cut, peel, and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing.
Train assistants and maintain cleanliness of the bakery.
Maintain records of customer orders.
Take cake orders.
Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately.
Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained.
Rotate merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics.
