About The Position
Lunardi’s Markets is seeking warm and friendly individuals for the Bakery Clerk position. This role is ideal for self-motivated applicants with an eye for detail who enjoy interacting with people and are willing to grow within the organization. The position involves providing excellent customer service, multitasking between daily production and customer service, monitoring stock levels, stocking and rotating products, and taking special orders. On-the-job training is provided, and no prior experience is required. The role also offers the opportunity to learn how to make specialized bakery products.

Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, address the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner.
- Multitask between daily production and customer service.
- Monitor stock levels in the backroom, display cases, and tables.
- Stock and rotate (FIFO method) products and check expiration dates to ensure food safety throughout the department.
- Take orders for events and holidays to meet customer requests with attention paid to special details.
- Learn how to make specialized products such as fruit tarts, eclairs, and cannoli.
- Work with box cutters, knives, cash registers, espresso machines, ovens, mixers, etc. in a safe manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customers and company policies.
- Protect the safety of oneself, co-workers, and customers at all times, and reports safety-related accidents and incidents to management immediately.
