About The Position

Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer committed to giving back to its communities and providing guests with exceptional service and value, operating over 40 full-service supermarkets across the state. As a Festival Foods Bakery Clerk, you will be central to bakery operations, ensuring exceptional guest service. This role involves assisting guests in finding bakery items, accurately taking special orders, and carefully packaging products. You will contribute creatively to the bakery offerings, enhancing both special occasions and everyday moments.

Requirements

  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Exceptional Guest Service: Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day.
  • Assist guests in locating specific bakery items and handling special requests with care.
  • Take accurate orders for cakes and other custom bakery products.
  • Answer phone calls courteously and helpfully, providing information and assistance as needed
  • Package and price items, maintaining quality and minimizing waste.
  • Replenish bakery products to ensure availability and appealing display standards.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, restocking products promptly to meet demand.
  • Ensure product freshness and presentation by rotating stock and removing outdated items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, shelves, and the sales floor.
  • Adhere to food safety protocols and maintain accurate records.
  • Uphold Festival's quality standards, ensuring product quantity expectations are met promptly.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
