Bakery Assistant/Cake Decorator
About The Position
Walters Wedding Estates, a Walters Hospitality brand, is actively seeking professional, self-motivated, skilled cake decorators/bakery assistants to create dream wedding cakes for our Brides in a fun working environment. This person can adapt and learn quickly. This is a part-time position only. This employee will be scheduled when needed and schedule fluctuates in line with how busy wedding season gets. There will be weeks where you may not be needed during slow periods. Normal bakery operating hours are 9:30am-6pm. Weekend availability required for deliveries - must have clean driving record and be able to carry 50lbs.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of cake decorating experience
- ServSafe Food Handlers or equivalent
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Submit/complete background check
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be familiar with basic textures such as stone, horizontal, stucco, wedding dots and palette.
- Must have a working knowledge of food coloring, fondant, edible images, and cake design.
