About The Position

Desert Highlands Club is seeking a passionate and dependable Seasonal Part-Time Baker to join our culinary team during our busy season. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys producing high-quality baked goods in a fast-paced, luxury private club environment. The successful candidate will help support our pastry and culinary operations by preparing fresh breads, breakfast pastries, cookies, desserts, and specialty baked items while maintaining the exceptional standards our members expect. This is a seasonal position designed to meet increased demand during our peak season, with flexible scheduling based on business needs.

Requirements

• Previous bakery or pastry experience preferred (restaurant, bakery, hotel, resort, or private club experience is a plus).
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Ability to follow recipes with accuracy and consistency.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, muffins, pastries, cookies, cakes, pies, and desserts from established recipes.
• Assist in producing desserts and baked goods for à la carte dining, banquets, special events, and member functions.
• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards.
• Properly measure, mix, proof, bake, and finish products.
• Follow recipes while maintaining efficiency and minimizing waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with Maricopa County Health Department regulations.
• Label, date, rotate, and store products using FIFO procedures.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and communicating production needs.
• Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and culinary team to meet daily production goals.
