About The Position

Join our Festival Foods team as a Baker! Our bakery plays a pivotal role in crafting unforgettable experiences for guests' events and everyday moments alike, ranging from special occasions to everyday indulgences. Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day.

Requirements

  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel.
  • Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful work environment, while supporting team members.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies, including proper training on ovens, lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler, mixers, slicing and packaging machinery, and other equipment.
  • Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations, with the ability to make timely and effective decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items.
  • Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage.
  • Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our guests by assisting them with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns.
  • Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level, especially for early mornings and evenings.
  • Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards, including quantity expectations, are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily.
  • Work closely with all Bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment.
  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
