About The Position

We are seeking an experienced baker to work at Littleton’s Market Bakery, located in the historic North Market. The ideal candidate will have at least six months of experience in a professional baking role (commercial experience preferred). The Baker will be an essential part of the bakery team and must be comfortable working with others in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

Requirements

At least six months of experience in a professional baking role (commercial experience preferred).
Experience in a high-volume production bakery or kitchen.
Ability to follow written instructions and read complex recipes.
Ability to work independently and make quick decisions.
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to change.
Strong baker's intuition (know when something is "done").
Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude, even under stress.
Willingness to work as part of a team.
Ability to withstand extreme temperatures for short periods of time.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50 lbs.
Ability to stand continuously for 8-10 hours.
Willingness to work in close proximity to others.

Responsibilities

Prepare, mix, and bake dough, batters, and icings to create breads, pastries, and desserts.
Operate specialized kitchen equipment.
Design and refine recipes.
Decorate finished products.
Maintain strict food safety standards.
Help manage inventory and workstations.
