Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of related baking, pastry, or food production experience (specialty bakery/pastry experience preferred).
  • Comfortable using standard bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, scales, thermometers) and basic computer tools as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to follow recipes and standards.
  • Professional communication and teamwork skills; customer-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and maintain high standards for cleanliness and appearance.

Nice To Haves

  • specialty bakery/pastry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of baked items from scratch (breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits, cakes, pastries) following production schedules and standardized recipes.
  • Accurately weigh and measure ingredients; mix doughs/batters by hand or with mixers; shape, portion, and finish products to spec.
  • Set and regulate oven temperatures; monitor bake times and product doneness to ensure consistent quality.
  • Apply toppings/finishes and present products according to portioning and appearance standards.
  • Maintain proper storage, rotation, labeling, and dating of ingredients and finished goods.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain a clean and organized bake shop/work area.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP/OSHA as applicable) including allergen awareness and illness prevention practices.
  • Support inventory/restocking of smallware’s, ingredients, and supplies; assist other kitchen positions as needed.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members to meet service and production goals.
  • Report accidents/injuries promptly and follow safety and risk-management procedures.

  • Full-Time Employees: Employees who work on a recognized holiday are paid at 2.5 times their regular rate. Employees who do not work on a recognized holiday receive 8 hours of holiday pay, in accordance with company policy.
