About The Position

The Central Bakery department bakes, prepares and delivers products to numerous other IGA and Buehler's stores in SW Indiana. They are currently looking for a FT bread baker, and another PT person to work doing production in this area. In addition, they are looking for a PT delivery driver. Must have valid driver's license.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend and stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability is often required due to production demands.
• Strong basic math skills for recipe scaling, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of kitchen safety procedures.
• Must have valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Measuring ingredients, kneading dough, setting oven controls, and monitoring baking times based on standardized recipes.
• Decorating pastries and cakes, icing, glazing, and arranging items neatly in display cases.
• Greeting customers, answering product questions, taking custom orders, and suggestive selling.
• Cleaning work areas, sanitizing equipment, and adhering to strict health, food safety, and OSHA regulations.
• Rotating stock, packing fresh-baked goods, pricing items, and managing raw ingredient supplies.
