About The Position

Manufactures various cake products in accordance with designated specifications; performs various job tasks of a repetitive nature in accordance with product type and production requirements; conforms to Good Manufacturing and Safety practices as outlined by company policy.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Math skills
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate scanner gun
  • Demonstrates manual dexterity
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment using both hands, frequent bending/stooping with occasional walking and lifting/moving up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to work over 40 hours per week & 8 hours per day - ability to work overtime is required
  • Must be able to stand for a full shift
  • Must be able to work in a hot environment
  • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens : peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish

Responsibilities

  • Work and act safely in accordance with all policies
  • Report safety hazards to people or product and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Maintain regular throughput of product to the production line
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices by adhering to company policy and keeping work areas and equipment neat and clean on an ongoing basis
  • Understand product specification and make routine checks to verify equipment performance; adjust equipment as needed
  • Monitor equipment performance and report damaged or faulty equipment to supervisor
  • Operate batter depositors and various continuous mixing systems
  • Operate automatic oven loading equipment; load and unload oven manually as required
  • Inspect pans for cleanliness and notify supervisor when deficiencies are observed
  • Palletize pans as directed
  • Monitor proper operation of pan greasing unit by maintaining proper grease levels
  • Inspect pans for proper grease coverage
  • Ensure products meet the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code by reporting to a leader, supervisor, or manager any instances or conditions that would negatively affect the products quality, food safety, or regulatory requirements
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
