This position is responsible for understanding therapeutic diets, basic nutrition principles for older adults and veterans, and food safety and sanitation. The role requires knowledge of safe food handling procedures and local, state, and federal food safety regulations. The Baker/Pastry Chef will also be involved in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking skills, including preparing meals from scratch and adjusting recipes for texture-modified diets. Time management, communication, teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
