The Alaska Court System is seeking dependable, organized, and community-minded individuals to serve as Bailiffs. This role supports the court’s mission of providing fair, timely, and efficient justice. On-call Bailiff positions provide an opportunity to support court operations and serve your community while working on an as-needed basis. This position may be an excellent fit for retirees, college students, or anyone seeking flexible part-time employment. As a bailiff, you will be responsible for escorting jurors in and out of the courtroom before, during, and after trials. You’ll help maintain the integrity of the deliberation process by ensuring that jurors are not contacted or influenced by outside parties. In addition, you will assist with coordinating meals, lodging, and transportation for jurors when necessary, and you’ll accompany them to meals and provide support for basic, personal errands as needed. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of the judicial process in a respectful, structured environment.
