About The Position

This role involves assigning and plotting manpower for the bagroom in an assigned area. The agent will move cargo and baggage on and off belts/carts and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft. They will also operate motorized equipment and interpret various aircraft-related documents such as weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags. The Lead Agent oversees a crew of 3-5 agents, is responsible for all assigned bagroom crew paperwork before and after departure, and ensures all operations at their assigned area are performed in accordance with Company and Airline specific procedures and policies. Attendance at mandatory training is required, along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • At least 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada
  • Able to speak, read, and write in English
  • Valid G or G2 driver’s license with good driving record
  • Able to pass DA training
  • Able to hold and maintain all required airport security clearances
  • Reliability
  • Capable of lifting comfortably 70 lbs
  • Prior ramp experience required
  • Must be a good team player, setting the example
  • Available and flexible to work variable shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a crew of 3-5 agents
  • Responsible for all assigned bagroom crew paperwork before and after departure
  • Oversee all operations at their assigned area
  • Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with the Company and Airlines specific procedures and policies
  • Attend mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role
  • Perform other duties as assigned
