About The Position

This position, a customer service role, involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. Key duties include placing customers' purchases into bags and carts, carrying purchases to cars, and retrieving carts from the parking lot. The role also encompasses maintaining store cleanliness by picking up debris, stocking bags, emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, and returning merchandise to shelves. Additionally, the Bagger is responsible for reading and understanding shelf tags and verifying merchandise prices. Training will be provided at the store level.

Requirements

• For internal Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• For internal Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Place customers’ purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the store management
