About The Position

This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. Responsibilities include placing customer purchases into bags, placing filled bags in carts, carrying purchases to cars, retrieving carts from the parking lot, and maintaining store cleanliness by picking up debris and emptying trash. Additional duties include stocking bags, sweeping and mopping floors, returning merchandise to shelves, reading shelf tags, and verifying prices. Other duties may be assigned by store management.

Requirements

• 16 years or older to apply
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• Manager approval based on performance if invited for an interview

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers

• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
