Job Summary The Bagger performs a variety of tasks including but not limited to operations of assigned machinery, department housekeeping, and working in various workstations to deliver the highest quality product to our customers.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- A safety mindset and commitment to one's own safety and those of their fellow co-workers.
- Basic computer literacy
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous experience driving a forklift preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks including filling, sealing and palletizing bags, operating the robot palletizer system, and operating the pallet inverter
- Operate a fork truck to load customer trucks or move pallets to stretch wrapper/storage.
- Perform daily inspections and reports any issues with machinery or vehicles, including leaks. If any leaks occur during the shift, contain the leak and report to a supervisor. Notify maintenance of any significant issues with scale, sealing machines, conveyor systems or robot palletizing system.
- Complete quality control tasks and paperwork, including check weighing of bags, checking lot codes, checking bags seals and fines testing (for pellets).
- Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s policies and procedures, including safety.
- Adhere to safety rules and best practices to keep all people on the premises safe
- Assisting other employees and providing relief in performing their tasks.
- Perform cleanup tasks and maintains a clean work environment to promote a safe and clean work environment.
