About The Position

This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. Key responsibilities include bagging customer purchases, placing filled bags in carts, carrying purchases to cars, retrieving carts from the parking lot, maintaining store and lot cleanliness, stocking supplies, emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, returning unpurchased merchandise to shelves, reading shelf tags, and verifying prices. Additional duties may be assigned by store management. Training will be provided at the store level.

Requirements

• 16 years or older to apply
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Bending
• Stooping
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• Manager approval based on performance if invited for an interview

Responsibilities

• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
