About The Position

This position will report to the Supervisor and is a full-time, non-exempt role on Shift 2. The pay range is $21-$23. Requirements

  • Possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Detail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical skills.
  • Follow all required Health & Safety protocols to ensure safe working environment.
  • Must be LOTO (lockout/tagout) certified.
  • High School Diploma/GED or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven, reliable work history

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food production/manufacturing facility.
  • Two years’ experience running automated equipment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Fully and independently operate carrot bagging equipment.
  • Ensure bags are properly sealed.
  • Monitor quality.
  • Perform scheduled equipment check and preventive maintenance.
  • Check scale, weight, and date on Kwik Lock.
  • Inspect all machinery in area of ownership and report as necessary.
  • Report any Health & Safety issues to supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Keep bagger area clean and hazard free.
  • Ensure there are sufficient supplies in work area.
  • Communicate any errors or malfunctions with production.
  • Report ALL concerns to supervisors.
  • Assist Bagger Operator I and II with any malfunctions on equipment.
  • Provide Bagger Operator I and II with supplies during production.
  • Work closely with Automation and Maintenance while troubleshooting to maximize up time.
  • Assist with machine repairs including, but not limited to the following tools: Sockets, Allen Wrenches, and Needle Nose Pliers (full list of tools will be provided).
  • Perform other assigned duties.
