About The Position

The Bagger Operator is part of a rotating position within the production plant. Primary responsibility is running the bagger which produces 40 lb. bags of pellet mulch and manually stacking them on a pallet as well as running the bagger/ chute to produce 1000 lb. tote sacks. Some secondary responsibilities within the rotation are looking for imperfections in packaging and remove any bags that are not perfect, cutting open defective bags and placing them in our reprocessing bin, driving a forklift (training provided) and general housekeeping duties.

Requirements

  • Able to obtain forklift certification (training provided)
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate them when appropriate
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
  • Time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Operate bagger safely and efficiently.
  • Manually stacking bags onto pallets.
  • Maintain preset production goals.
  • Remove out-of-spec bags and hand stack for reprocessing.
  • Cut open rejected bales for reprocessing
  • Operate forklift to load and store bags.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
